Morocco has many must visit places, it’s difficult to choose. Largely it depends on what interests you and where you would like to spend your time. Check out our tours as many of them cover a variety of destinations and activities to suit a range of interests and budgets. If you don’t find something there to suit we can always tailor make a private tour for just you and your guests.

The local currency in. Morocco is Moroccan Dirham. You can exchange money in the airport when you arrive or the many bureau de change in most major towns and cities. You can also use ATMs to withdraw cash.

It depends where you are travelling from and your nationality. It’s best to check with your local government or foreign office website

Moroccan cuisine is a flavorful and aromatic reflection of the country’s diverse cultural heritage, blending Berber, Arab, Moorish, Jewish, and Mediterranean influences. It is known for its rich and complex flavors, the use of a wide range of spices, and the combination of sweet and savory elements. There are many well known traditional dishes to try depending on your taste. Vegetarian food is relatively easy to find and many dietary restrictions can be catered for

The official languages in Morocco are Arabic, Darija and Amazigh. French is widely spoken in the South and Spanish in the North. English is spoken in more tourist areas and is gaining in popularity.

In most places in Morocco, as a tourist, you can dress as you would at home. In more rural and remote areas it is respectful to cover up, especially for women. Carry a scarf with you so that if necessary you can put it round your shoulders. You may attract some attention if you have bare skin but no one will say anything to you. Generally the North is well served by trains, there is an extensive bus service that covers most of the country(Supratour and CTM), there are public andlocal buses in most cities, towns and villages and taxis, either petit(small for within the city) or grand(large for longer distances). Sharing a taxi is a very common concept in Morocco and a relatively cheap and convenient way to travel, although sometimes you have to wait.

Morocco is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, intricate craftsmanship, and vibrant markets, which are filled with a wide variety of souvenirs and handicrafts. Some of the most popular are rugs and carpets, jewellery, spices and herbs, wooden handicrafts, ceramics and pottery. accommodation needs. We use a variety of accommodations depending of the level of tour you choose.
Generally accommodation varies enormously depending on which region/area you are travelling in from 5 star luxury hotels in the bigger cities to a room in someone’s house in the more remote areas. In Morocco location is often more important than star rating especially if you choose to stay in the old medinas, many of which have no vehicular access.

There are many and very varied festivals that happen across Morocco all through the year. If you have a particular interest please let us know and we can advise on the best time to come and tour to take to ensure you experience the things you want to see.

Have a copy of your passport just in case
Try to stay in well lit, busy places especially if you are on your own
Be aware of your surroundings

Credit cards are accepted in many establishments in bigger cities however, in smaller towns and villages especially in the more remote areas it is better to have cash. ATMs are available although again in short supply in the more remote areas. We will always let you know during a tour the places where you may have difficulty getting cash or using cards so that you can plan ahead.
