Day 3 Essaouira

Another free day to continue where you left off yesterday or maybe book a visit to the local Hammam if you haven’t tried this already it’s a welcome relaxation after a busy schedule. Sample the fish dishes in the harbor restaurants or sneak a quick cup of coffee in one of the many cafes.
B

After breakfast today we continue southwards to the charming coastal town of Sidi Ifni, an overlooked destination with stunning nearby beaches and striking architecture.
B

From Sidi Ifni we head inland to the Berber village of Amtoudi, tucked away in the heart of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. You have free time to explore this beautiful village. Perched on a rocky outcrop the village is in two parts separated by a spectacular oasis, where lush palm groves and terraced fields provide a striking contrast to the stark rocks.
B/D

Day 7 Amtoudi

Today after breakfast in our delightful auberge we meet our local guide. He will take us to visit 2 magnificently restored collective granaries Id Aïssa and Aguelouy and the stunning Amtoudi gorges. From the top of a rock outcrop Id Aïssa is a marvel of defensive architecture dating back to the 12th century. Aguelouy while smaller is equally fascinating.
B/D

Day 8 Amtoudi to Tafraoute

After a leisurely breakfast we turn to head inland along the stunning R107 to the charming town of Tafraoute. The route climbs up to the Canyon de l’Assif n’Mouguene, the Grand Canyon of Morocco before descending into the gorges and oases of Igmir. Tafraoute is tucked away in the Anti Atlas Mountains, a place of natural beauty and dramatic rocky landscapes. After lunch we will head to the Ameln Valley and the Maison Traditionnelle, a traditional Amazigh house of the region.
B

Day 9 Tafraoute

After breakfast this morning we head to Jean Veran’s painted rocks. Against the muted colors of the natural, landscape these enormous granite boulders covered in bright paint feel utterly surreal. You simply must see them for yourself.

We continue on to the stunning gorge of Ait Mansour. A long narrow oasis with flowing water, bordered by a mix of ochre, pink and grey colored rocks. Colors made more beautiful by the flowers and vibrant greens of the palm, olive and fig trees.

We will lunch today with a family in Gdourt and experience some genuine Moroccan hospitality and a delicious home cooked meal. Gdourt is an old village where the houses are joined together in the style of the old ksars.
B/L

Day 10 Tafraoute to Taroudant

This morning we head northwards to the picturesque town of Taroudant nestled in the fertile Souss valley. We stop along the route at the famous Kasbah of Tizourgane. We reach this collective apiary by a narrow track passing fields of aromatic plants. The apiary itself is at about 1000m above sea level and facing south to take maximum advantage of the sunlight.

We will have a tour of the area and the hives with a local beekeeper followed by lunch. Enjoy a unique tasting session of the different varieties of honey produced by the bees of the Inzerki hives and take the opportunity to buy some direct from the producer. We will spend the night in a nearby auberge.
B/L

Day 12 Argana to Agafay

We leave our auberge this morning and head for the Agafay desert. This rocky desert is a surprising oasis, a haven of peace and tranquility and a gateway to the Berber villages that exist in this harsh but sublime nature. We spend the night in a luxury desert camp under the stars of the desert sky.
