Morocco Mystery 9 Days

On this Moroccan Mystery tour you pass through Rabat and finish in Marrakech, two of the most iconic Imperial cities in Morocco. On the way you visit some of the less well-known places and experience some of Moroccos most beautiful natural places.

 Enjoy this tour of two halves, Morocco Cities and Nature. The lake of Bin El Ouidane and the waterfalls of Ouzoud alongside the bustling cities of Marrakech and Rabat.

Day 1 City of Casablanca

Arrive Casablanca transfer to your hotel. Prepare for your 6pm welcome meeting.

Day 2 City of Casablanca to City of Rabat

Today, after breakfast, we visit the Hassan II Mosque. The second largest mosque in Africa it can accommodate up to 105,000 worshippers. After our visit to the mosque we leave for Rabat, the capital of the kingdom and one of the Imperial cities. 

Here we meet our local guide and visit the Mausoleum of the late king Mohamed V, the Kasbah of the Oudaya overlooking the mouth of the Bou Regreg River.

the Hassan Tower and the Necropolis of Chellah situated in the ruins of the Roman town Sala Collonia. We spend the night in Rabat.

Day 3 City of Rabat via Volubilis to City of Fes

This morning we head off to Fes via the oldest Roman ruins in Morocco, dating back to around 25ad. With our local guide we explore the ruins of Volubilis and their unique mosaics as well as the triumphal arch and the Via Maximus.

 From Volubilis we stop in Elmhaiya to experience the work of the community foundation here who will prepare for you the most delicious lunch, traditional Moroccan cuisine with all the trimmings.

 The foundation does some amazing work with local families, providing training for local women and English lessons. After lunch let’s learn a bit of Arabic before we continue our journey to Fes.

Experience a magical Moroccan evening filled with cultural delights! Gather in a beautiful old riad for a sumptuous banquet, savoring the rich flavors of traditional Moroccan cuisine. 

Belly dancers sway gracefully, enthralling the crowd with their rhythmic movements. 

A talented magician weaves his magic puzzling everyone with his tricks. The air is filled with the rhythm of traditional Moroccan music, creating an unforgettable experience that lingers in hearts and minds long after the night ends.

Day 4 City of Fes

This morning it’s time to explore some of the 9000 streets of the oldest medina with a local guide. He’ll make sure you get just a little bit lost. We make stops at the entrance to the Royal Palace, the Jewish Mellah and a ceramic factory where you see pottery being hand made in the traditional way. 

We take you to the highest point in Fes where you can capture pictures of the Medina and soak up the amazing view. You experience the sights and sounds of the old medina including the oldest tanneries in Morocco.

 The weavers who weave their magic with agave silk, get lost in the atmosphere of the local market and marvel at the Quranic school and the oldest university in Morocco.

Day 5 City of Fes to City of Beni Mellal

After breakfast we head for Immouzer Kandar and Azrou, Berber villages known for their agricultural cooperative. In Immouzer Kandar you can visit the medina and the market.

 After traversing the forest and mountain areas we arrive in Beni Mellal which nestles in the foothills of the Middle Atlas Mountains and is the main centre for local produce including oranges, figs and olives. 

We take you on a tour of the Ben Kush Kasbah which dates back to the 17th century.

Day 6 City of Beni Mellal to Bin El Ouidane

After breakfast today we start our journey to Morocco’s largest lake, Bin El Ouidane. As we zig zag across mountain roads you glimpse the beauty of the lake from a distance. Get your camera ready take some panoramic shots. 

We take time to enjoy the surroundings and take a boat across the lake. You can enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters before a picnic lunch on the shore. You have free time to explore the area and enjoy the water sports.

Day 7 Bin El Ouidane to Ouzoud

After breakfast we continue on our way to the amazing Ouzoud waterfalls. Ouzoud waterfalls should be classified as one of the “natural wonders” of Morocco. Approximately 330 feet high the cascade is off the beaten path. 

The journey is worth the effort. Take the well-constructed path through olive trees to the bottom of the gorge and look up as the water cascades over the edge far above you. 

We take the boat across to the fall and if you wish you can have a dip in the cool water. We stop for lunch here and take in the view before checking into our traditional Moroccan hotel.

 You can enjoy free time and dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8 Ouzoud to City of Marrakech

After breakfast we continue on to Marrakech. We meet our local guide for a tour of this impressive imperial city and its monuments including the gardens and the orchard basin of the menara, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace. 

After your tour you can enjoy free time to discover the labyrinthine souks of the medina with their numerous tiny little shops bustling with activity.

 Finally, as the sun goes down watch the main square Djemaa El Fna transform itself into an entertainment spectacular.

Day 9

Depart any time for home. You can extend your stay if you’d like to discover more of Morocco. We can help with onward travel, accommodation or advice. If you need anything just let us know.
